Ralf G. Bahr

Decades of international experience in business and strategy, shaped by German heritage and a passion for classic and performance automobiles.

Heritage Perspective Passion

Background

Ralf G. Bahr is a successful entrepreneur with a distinguished family heritage in farming, timber trading, and milling that dates back to 1687 in Pomerania (now part of modern Poland). After World War II, his family rebuilt their lives through real estate ventures in the Cologne area. Born in Germany and raised in Cologne, Bahr served in the German Air Force and earned a degree in real estate development and finance from Cologne Business College. Building on his family’s legacy, he emerged as a visionary business leader known for transforming innovative ideas into successful enterprises. In 1990, he proudly became a U.S. citizen, while remaining deeply connected to his German roots.

Cologne

In 1973, he founded his first company in Cologne, Germany, providing strategic planning services to support international growth and secure financial backing. Focusing on global expansion, he helped businesses obtain the resources necessary for success. As Founder and CEO of RGB International Group, he concentrated on raising private equity capital through various platforms.

New York

In 1981, he relocated to New York to focus on the U.S. market and established a new headquarters for RGB International. The company initially expanded its activities in the oil and gas industry, but by the mid-1980s, real estate investments became more appealing. Partnering with Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, RGB launched a long-term plan for acquisitions and leasing that helped Goodyear’s Service Center expansion in the Northeast and South-Central U.S. Supported by a fifteen-year triple-net lease, RGB bought multiple sites over five years, oversaw construction, and sold the service centers to international investors.

As the company’s international client base grew, additional offices opened in London and Zurich in the late 1980s.

Prague, Czech Republic

In 1990, following the collapse of communist regimes in Eastern Europe, international investment firms began to focus on these emerging markets. However, the lack of a Western-style business culture and the challenges of unfamiliar operational environments posed significant obstacles. To tackle these issues, RGB International opened an office in Prague, Czech Republic, in early 1990. The office concentrated on operational and capital restructuring during the post-privatization phase of government-owned enterprises, especially in former Czechoslovakia, Poland, and Ukraine.

Boca Raton, Florida

In 1994, Bahr relocated from New York to Boca Raton, Florida, to oversee the development of commercial real estate projects in Southeast Florida, with a focus on medium-sized warehouses. Utilizing his extensive background in real estate development, he identified strategic sites for warehouse parks to meet the increasing demand for storage, distribution, and light manufacturing space. Working with investors, local municipalities, and construction teams, he made sure each project met market needs while adhering to zoning and regulatory requirements.

Deerfield Beach, Florida

In 2004, Ralf G. Bahr partnered with a fellow enthusiast in real estate and classic cars to open a dealership specializing in classic and exotic vehicles, focusing on high-end vintage automobiles and auction-quality collector cars. In addition to managing his own collection, he assisted customers and friends with sourcing, evaluating, and caring for their vehicles and collections.

With the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic and its challenges, the dealership was eventually closed, and the remaining inventory and collections were sold. Following this transition, Bahr relocated to the Nashville, Tennessee, area to be closer to his family and to begin the next chapter of his automotive journey.
